Girls from a Catholic school won on Thursday Yei River County interschool netball completion.
Christ the King Primary School Sports Mistress Uduawa Margrate told Radio Emmanuel that the puplis got the trophy after Emmanuel girls failed to turn up for the final game at Freedom Square.She said her school was declared the champion for Yei River County interschool netball competition.
School Principal Aderia Targu said he was happy Christ the King girls won the netball tournament.
He encouraged parents to send their children to school and allow them to practice sports.
The netball competition was scheduled for last month but the umpires did not turn up and the event was postponed.
