Three children were killed as their house wentonÊ fire on Tuesday night in Wau.
The mother of the kids sustained serious burns while she tried to rescue them and was admitted at Wau Teaching Hospital for tratement.
John Leon Ambiliko, uncle to the three dead kids, told Voice of Hope that the fire happened in Hai Bafraa and destroyed two rooms.
He said that one child died on the spot, while the other two died were taken to the hospital were they passed away due to the serious burns.
Wau Hospital Medical Director Marcello Gabriel Kanda described the condition of the mother as serious but under control.
Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan paid visit to the family of the victims on Thursday morning.
The State Fire Brigades Department is carrying out preliminary investigations about the origin of the blaze.
