LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER VISITS TOMBURA COUNTY

State Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement on Tuesday arrived in Tombura County on his official tour of all Counties in Western Equatoria.

Daniel Ezibon Zingifuaboro arranged for general assessment in all the counties to reassure the relationship between the citizens and the organised forces.

While addressing the public in Tombura County, Mr Zingifuaboro reiterated that security remains paramount in the state.

He said all the borders are to be secured to guarantee peace among the communities.

Mr. Ezbon urged all citizens to report cases to their county authorities for investigation other than sending wrong information direct to the state governor or ministers.

He promised to reinforce the customary laws in all the counties and warned local chiefs not to solve court cases in private houses.

County acting Commissioner, Hassan Awari BakhitÊ emphasised on cordial relationships among the authorities, organised forces, traditional leaders and NGOs partners.

He outlined achievements in the last 2 years including renovation of County headquarters, surveying new market, installation of generator in the town, and construction of Duma Bridge bordering Nagero County.

Mr Bakhit expressed concern about lack of trained staffs in various departments in the County especially in health, education, agriculture and social development.

Ezbon assumed office in July and scheduled to visit all the Counties in the state to speak with all commissioner and heads of organised forces, plus traditional leaders.
