Graduates at Upper Nile University were urged to avoid the wrong footsteps of corruption and work for a better nation for all.

Vice Chancellor Bol Deng made the appeal during the graduation ceremony for the fifth batch of Greater Bahr El Ghazal students’ Association (GBGSA) in Malakal.

He warned graduates not to diagram for corruption and other wrongdoings in the country as they start their work shortly in various government departments and in the private sector.

The Vice Chancellor said if such activities continue then it means the country will be a failed nation.

Prof Deng underlined that South Sudan is going in the wrong direction and cautioned the graduates to avoid the same footsteps.

He told the graduates that the country depends so much on the youth to bring a better change and restore the vision of nationalism in the country to avoid mismanagement of public properties that belong to every citizen.

Prof Deng challenged graduates not to base their nationalism only on Oyeee shouts!

He asked the graduates to let parents, the community and the nation at large benefit from the knowledge they obtained during their many years of struggle at the university.
