The Catholic Bishop of Torit has called on over 60 trainees to be active while they learn catering so that they might achieve their goals.

Bishop Johnson Akio Mutek offered the advice Tuesday while opening a two-month catering and hotel management training course in Torit, Radio Emmanuel reported.

The Bishop said the training aimed at building the capacity of the participants in life skills for self reliance.

He called the participants to remain united and clear about their objectives to achieve good results

Bishop Akio urged the participants to be clean and keep the working space clean to attract clients.

He told them to be committed to the course in order to learn well and get good recommendation letters at the end.

Trainer Sabina Mesiku said in a few weeks the training centre will serve food to costumers.

She appealed to the public to have their meals at the facility.

Ms Mesiku said the training centre will sell food to generate some income to support the course and make good use of the food produced by the trainees.

Otivo Abraham, training in catering, said he hoped to make use of the training skills after the course ended.
