The Ugandan Ambassador to South Sudan said Monday that the country faces challenges of statehood and building an independent country.

Busho Ndinyenka added that Uganda and the other four countries that supported South Sudan during the war will continue to extend that help until the new nation is able to stand strong, CRN reported.

He said consolidating the independence is another big challenge and that South Sudan needs secure demarcated borders.

Ambassador Ndinyka was speaking on Martyrs Day on behalf of Uganda, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Kenya.

These four countries helped the South Sudan in the struggle.
