The apostolic administration of the Catholic Diocese of Malakal has spoken up one week after unknown robbers entered a number of Church institutions.

Monsignor Roko Taban released a message through Radio Saut al-Mahabba asking citizens to honour and respect the sacred places, especially the Holy Eucharist.

He informed the listeners that last week some church compounds were broken into and the Holy Eucharist was profaned in Christ the King’s Church.

Monsignor Taban said such behaviour is not according to the good and known customs of South Sudan.

The perpetrators of those acts are still at large although the cases were reported to the Police.

Three churches, the community of the Comboni Sisters and the bishop’s house were raided by thieves who took a computer, a mobile, 80 pounds, some cloths and a vase with consecrated hosts.
