The Election of the County Legislative Council of Greater Kapoeta Counties in Eastern Equatoria state has started in Kapoeta South.
State minister of Parliamentary and Cabinet Affairs, Clement Laku Chichi, is overseeing the County council elections together with nine Members of Parliament, Radio Emmanuel reported.Speaker Ambrose Ocholimoi said the elections started on Tuesday at Kapoeta South County.
On Wednesday the team was in Kapoeta North and on Thursday in Kapoeta East County.
The team was in Budi County on Friday before proceeding to Torit.
It will continue to the remaining counties.
Mr Ocholimoi said the County Council comprises of 35 members with the role to establish the County Legislative Assembly.
