Western Equatoria State Revenue Authorities and theÊ finance Ministry on Monday met and discussed with the owners of private business transportations in Yambio.
All the owners of private business vehicles gathered at the freedom square to discuss on the fees requested by the state revenue authorities as contribution for development in the state Anisa Radio reported.State Revenue Director-General, Wanga Lawrence asked them to pay 350 SSP for Tippers, 200 SSP for buses and 50 SSP for Rekshia, for a period of three months renewable.
State finance minister, John Loci appreciated the business people for their great contribution towards development.
He encouraged them to continue with the same spirit, calling them to cooperate with the government to render better services to the citizens.
One of the business car owners Mr. Box Simon said he is not happy because the government is demanding too much money from them.
All the businessmen disagreed with the state revenue authorities, claiming that it is above their capacities.
The meeting was finally postponed for this Wednesday after a serious consultation with some representatives from both sides.
