35 HEAD TEACHERS UNDERGO TRAINING IN YEI

At least 35 secondary school head teachers are undergoing training in Yei River County.

The training is on board of governance, parent-teachers association (PTA) and teacher’s code of conduct, Radio Easter reported.

Director for secondary education in the ministry of General Education and instructions, Azaria Duku Enocka said that the training is to enable teachers acquire skills for effective management and development.

Duku added that the training will help the PTA to promote excellent academic performance in the country.

The Director urged the teachers to observe their professional code of conduct and act as agents of change in the schools and communities.

Akobo secondary school head teacher, Abraham Chol said that, they are ready to promote the role of PTA in the schools to realize quality education and development in the country.

Chol called on the Government to unify South Sudan curriculum and improve teachers’ conditions through adequate motivation.

This is the second training conducted at Yei Crop Training Centre which drew participants from Greater Equatoria and Jonglei states.
