The Commissioner of Yei River County has said that the first anniversary of South Sudan’s Independence reminds the citizens about the process of nation building.
Juma David Augustine added that the celebration reminds the people of real independence and also means achieving social-economic and political freedom.Mr. Juma appealed to the citizens of the young nation to reconcile with each other and called on the chiefs and the headmen to cooperate with the authorities to curb crimes in the county.
He appeal to people to contribute one South Sudanese pound to support the SPLA in the frontline.
The Commissioner made these statements during the celebration of the first anniversary of South Sudan independence at Yei Freedom Square on Monday.
