DEPUTY GOVERNOR VISITS HOSPITALS AND PRISON IN JUBA

The Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State and number of ministers on Tuesday toured the hospitals and prison in Juba.

The visit aimed at sharing the first anniversary of South Sudan Independence with the sick and the inmates.

Mr Lomole congratulated the inmates for participating in the referendum vote that brought about the Independence of South Sudan.

He told the prisoners that the prison is not for bad people but just to correct individuals who commited crimes to fit in the society.

Mr Lomole revealed that he will share with the national minister of interior the issue of long detention in the prison.

Mr Lomole said responsible authorities in Juba Central Prison should not delay looking into the issues of inmates.

He donated 10,000 South Sudanese pounds divided in half between male and female sections.

The Deputy Governor and accompanying ministers visited Juba orphanage, Juba Teaching Hospital, El-Sabah Children Hospital and Juba Military Hospital, donating 5,000 in all the institutions.
