The rate of crimes in Yei River County is on the increase.
Police crime investigating officer Baraka Emmanuel Silvano said this year robbery cases are on the rise.He added that since January the Police registered over 20 cases including murder.
Mr Baraka told Radio Easter that four armed robbers who intended to steal someone’s motor bike were apprehended on Saturday and are under investigation.
He appealed to the community to collaborate with the Police in order to improve the security in the county.
Mr Baraka called the communities in Yei to defend their neighbours in case of night attacks.
