A traffic police officer said today that laws requesting boda-boda riders to obtain a special driving license are underway in the country.

Former Director of Traffic Police Service, Joseph Ladu Loku, told Bakhita Radio the law requests any boda-boda rider to get a driving license in order to operate freely in any part of South Sudan.

Mr Ladu revealed that any South Sudanese is entitled to receive a boda-boda driving license on condition that the person is fit mentally and medically, to be at least 18 and aware of South Sudan’s Traffic regulations.

He advised citizens to license their vehicles and report to the Traffic Police office anybody including police officers who do not license their vehicles.
