Six people suspected of killing a Catholic catechist in Yei were arrested after police and other security forces conducted a huge search for the killers in the county.
Yei River County Commissioner David Juma said the suspects are all youths and are in prison waiting judgment.He added that they were arrested three days after the killing took place.
Mr Juma said Catechist Peter Kenyi was beaten to dead on May 16 while going home around 8 PM.
The Commissioner disclosed that this Tuesday a medical doctor called Anthony Wani was stabbed to death at around 8 pmPM in Luzira area.
One lady was also knifed and is in a critical condition in Yei Civil Hospital.
Mr Juma called on the residents to report any suspicious movements to the authorities.
He made these remarks yesterday in Otogo during his fact finding mission in the county.
