SPLA Day should remind people of Nuba Mountains and the whole of Sudan of the past and the current difficulties due to war and that victory is at hand.

SPLA-North Second Lieutenant Magbul Karashit said people in Nuba Mountains are back in war and May 16 celebrations remind them of past difficulties.

He added that in the war there are hunger, antonovs and death.

The SPLA-North officer said difficulties show people’s determination to ensure that lasting freedom is found.

Mr Karashit said one day people will celebrate the victory of the SPLA-North and the dream of the New Sudan will come true.

He added that Abdulaziz Al-Hilu will be the president of Sudan and development will reach Nuba Mountains too.

Mr Karashit remarked that SPLA started on May 16, 1983 under the leadership of Dr John Garang De Mabior.
