HUMANITARIAN SITUATION IMPROVES IN YIDA REFUGEES CAMP

A Southern Kodofani refugee working at Yida Camp, in Unity State, said today that the humanitarian situation has improved.

Santino D. said there was shortage of food, water and medicines but now the situation is getting better.

He added that some medical organizations like MSF and the Red Cross are providing health care to the people in the camp.

He explained that about 5,000 refugees enter Yida Camp every week, adding that the total number of the refugees currently stands at 35,000.
