The constant airstrikes in Nuba Mountains should not be an excuse for the schools not to operate normally in the region.
Local military chairman Younan A. said the education authorities want to open schools in Nuba Mountains despite continuous air bombardments in the region.He said the schools should function normally.
Mr Younan commented that Nuba Mountains is not a free area yet and people are struggling for freedom.
He added that the liberation of Nuba Mountains is priority number one ahead of education.
Political instability in Nuba Mountains since the war broke out last June brought all activities to standstill.
