Robbers killed a Fire Brigade officer on the Wau-Busseri road, in Western Bahr El Ghazal state, taking his mobile phone and motorbike.
State police commissioner Abraham Manywat told Voice of Hope that the killing took place in the late evening of Monday after the officer left his wife in Khor Ukanda Village of Wau County.He said the security officers are still searching for the suspects who have been traced to Agok.
Mr Manywat asked the public to inform the police immediately when any incident happens in order not to give time to the culprits to hide.
Mr Manywat said last month a fisherman was killed in the region.
He added that the security personnel are trying to investigate who is behind the killings: criminal, deserted soldiers or gangs.
Wau residents are raising concern about these murders urging the Government to find out the criminals involved.
