GOVERNMENT SIGNS ORPHANS CARE AGREEMENT

The government of South Sudan through the ministry of Foreign Affairs signed today an agreement with SOS Children’s Villages to cater for orphaned children in the country.

Helmut Kutin president of SOS Children, told the press that the organization is renovated its facility in Malakal.

He added that Juba will have a SOS Children’s Village very soon.

Mr Kutin said his organization gives orphans long term care in substitute families.

The SOS Children head added that the organization plans to provide a family to 250 orphans in Malakal and Juba.

The organization also gives support to poorer families.

SOS Children’s Villages is the world’s largest charity working with orphaned and abandoned children.

They provide a family and home for more than 78,000 children in 518 Children’s Villages in 134 countries, including South Sudan.
