The new ministers of Central Equatoria State were sworn in this morning in Juba.

The new cabinet comes weeks after the state members of parliament took the oath of office following the signing of the state Transitional Constitution and the swearing-in of Governor Clement Wani Kinga, Bakhita Radio reported.

Deputy Governor Manase Lomole Waya urged the ministers to consider the appointment as a calling to duty rather than a job in order to work hard and deliver.

Mr Waya commented that citizens are very demanding and it is the responsibility of the ministers to meet some of those demands.

The deputy governor said the state government plans to build at least one primary school in each boma, a secondary school per payam and some youth training facility in every county to improve education.

He acknowledged that there is no development without an educated population.

Mr Waya said education, health, agriculture and roads remain major priorities of the state.
