As the world commemorates Street Children Day today, street kids from Juba asked the government to provide them with shelter and education.

CRN visited some of the street children in Juba to find out what they expected for their future.

Lomana Peter said he wanted the government to give street kids anything good because they cannot continue sleeping at Al Zahara football play ground as if nobody sees them.

He said the government should find for them a place where they can sleep.

Lomana added that the street kids have to collect rubbish to get something to eat giving them a hard time with the heat.

Thomas Tombe said he is not in his house because he does not have one.

He said he sleeps in the street and takes rubber glue.

Thomas added that he does not like glue but he wants to go to school.

The majority of the street children still face difficult lives to survive.

Lomana said kids end up in the streets because they do not have a home where they can go and stay.
