The commissioners of Tonj East and South met yesterday to deploy the army to separate and protect the two warring communities of Akok and Luanykoth.
Gai Manyuon Maluak told Don Bosco FM that the two communities clashed on Tuesday evening leaving five people dead and several others wounded, including one girl.He stated that the incident occurred due to a cattle raid by people who were not compensated last year in the first attack by the Akok community against Luanykoth.
He added that the conflict started at a water place in Luanykoth area.
Mr Manyuon condemned the sudden attack launched by the Akok community against the Luanykoth people.
He urged the two warring communities to avoid conflict and follow the government system and style to solve their problems.
