Young people have in their hands the power to change the world through forgiveness and peace.
This is the view of Jani Rolandi, the provincial superior of the Salesians in Eastern Africa who asked young people to be truly open to Christ as people of peace in South Sudan.Fr Rolandi asked the youth to put aside their ethnic backgrounds and become champions of peace.
The Salesian leader said it is very easy to retaliate, take revenge and hit back, but Christians need to follow the example of forgiveness that Jesus showed on the cross.
He stated that the Christian youth has the power to change the world through forgiveness.
Fr Rolandi made these statements during a live show programme this morning at Don Bosco FM.
