The leading opposition party is reviewing its Constitution in order to register the in the Republic of South Sudan.
The SPLM-DC concluded yesterday the review exercise with recommendations to adjust the party’s Constitution to the situation of South Sudan since the party was registered in the Sudan.Sistor Olur, SPLM-DC Acting Secretary General, told Bakhita Radio that said his party was preparing to register in South Sudan following the Political Parties Act.
Mr Olur explained that his party was trying to adjust its Constitution to the conditions and situation of South Sudan because the old Constitution covered the SPLM-DC’s activities in the whole of Sudan.
He urged the Government to offer space for free exercise of political activities in the country as a sign of democracy.
Mr Olur said the SPLM-DC was eyeing to seize power through the vote in the next general elections.
The SPLM-DC is the largest opposition party in South Sudan.
