The American Administration has supplied a consignment of fertilizers to improve food production in South Sudan.

The fertilizers imported from Kenya and bought by USAID are part of a new project called Seeds for Development.

Sudan Sudan’s farmers are receiving mineral fertilizers and hybrid seeds following the drafting of new government policies to increase agricultural production and productivity.

The fertilizer consignment cost 17,000 US dollars, over 61,000 pounds.

The fertilizers and hybrid maize seeds will be used for demonstrating new farming technologies to thousands of farmers on 6,000 demonstration plots across Greater Equatoria.
