Teaching is a profession that demands sacrifices and education represents a second war front in Nuba Mountains.
Director of education in the Nuba Mountains, Kuti Arenesto Afjan, said teaching is the field of sacrifices.He added that the fight against ignorance is the SPLA-North’s second war front.
Mr Arenesto explained that the formation of teachers is a top priority in Nuba Mountains.
He added that the party is making efforts to open the primary schools in the area despite of the war.
Mr Arenesto encouraged teachers to sacrifice themselves for the upcoming generation instead of resigning from the profession.
The ministry of education in Nuba Mountains plans to open a teachers’ training college but lacks facilities and the basic means to run the institution.
