WESTERN EQUATORIA GOVERNOR SIGNS TRANSITIONAL CONSTITUTION

The Governor of Western Equatoria yesterday signed into law the state’s Transitional Constitution.

Governor Bangassi Joseph Mario Bakosoro was also sworn in during the same ceremony that took place at the Gbudue Stadium in Yambio, Radio Anisa reported.

The Governor said the signing of the Transitional Constitution marks a new beginning to Western Equatoria State.

The other two governors of Greater Equatoria, Clement Wani Konga and Louis Lobongo, witnessed the ceremony together with a representative from Western Bahr el Ghazal Government, a presidential advisor and representatives from international organizations.

The sate legislators will be sworn in on Monday.
