Teams of researchers are gathering in Juba to debate the theme of job creation in post conflict South Sudan to strengthen social unity and overcome poverty.

Ebony Centre for Strategic Studies Managing Director Lual Deng told CRN that the researchers are both South Sudanese and the foreigners.

He said the teams are looking at what types of jobs can bring social unity, overcome poverty and increase production in South Sudan.

Dr Deng said South Sudan was chosen among seven post conflict countries to outline the creation of jobs to strengthen peace.

Dr Deng said the objectives for the jobs overview are peace, economic growth and poverty reduction in South Sudan.

Mr. Deng said the private sector in South Sudan is mostly operated by the foreigners and it does not benefit the citizen in general.
