The National Legislative Assembly yesterday passed into law the Political Parties Bill 2012.
The chairperson of the committee for Legislation and Justice on the Political Parties’ bill, Dengtiel A Kuur, presented the Bill to the House for a third and final reading.He urged the House to consider the bill as urgent and pass it through a special regulation.
Mr Kuur said the Political Parties’ Bill was brought to the House at the very right time after some public consultation involving political leaders, individuals and university students.
Speaker James Wani Igga asked MPs to approve the very important bill who passed it with acclamation.
The Political Parties’ Bill was passed after a serious debate from members of the National Legislative Assembly.
