An Ivory Bank customer alleged that the Wau branch has taken over 13,000.00 South Sudanese Pounds from her account.

Mary Peter Surur, a Wau resident who kept her account active with Ivory Bank since 2006, told Radio Voice of Hope that she was shocked when on Friday a bank official told her that her account had run down to 50 pounds.

She said she had 13,850.00 in her account after she made her last withdrawal.

Ms Peter said someone forged her signature and snatched almost 14,000 pounds from her deposits.

Ms Peter said the bank claimed that she withdrew the missing amount at the end of November.

She refuted the allegation, denying she was in the Bank on November 30.

Ms Peter made these statements at Wau Attorney’s office where she went in a quest for justice.

An Ivory Bank official said off record that any grieved customer had rights to appeal to the court and the bank was ready to defend its claims through the necessary documents.
