The Humanitarian Agencies are allowed to deliver food and relief assistance to the people affected by the war in the SPLM-North controlled areas in Blue Nile and Southern Kordofan.
The SPLM-North Secretary for Popular and Syndicate, Mohammed Abdurrahman Anuwa, said the food will be brought into the areas through land from South Sudan.Mr Abdurahaman said he feared Sudanese warplanes may attack the trucks on the way if the information was made public.
The US administration announced it was making plans to distribute relief in the two areas with or without Sudan’s permission since over 500,000 lives were at stake.
