The Commissioner of Lainya County urged youths to be responsible and focus on the future in order to improve their lives.
Samuel Suba told Radio Easter in a telephone interview that the youths should develop strategies and streamline their ways of living to empower others in the future.He appealed to the youths to be responsible and form associations that can solve their problems now and the next generation to avoid falling on the same challenges the current generation is facing.
Mr Suba added that the situation is terrible in Lainya County because most of the youths are indulging in unproductive activities like drinking and unsustainable bamboo cutting business.
He admitted that the government has done little to support the youth due to other responsibilities it is shouldering.
Mr Suba urged youths to work hard and form groups that can assist them to focus on the future.
