Western Bahr El Ghazal state is reviewing its strategic planning for 2011 to 2014.
Governor Rizik Zakaria Hassan said that the state’s strategic plan 2011 to 2014 was based on themes to ensure social justice, security and equitable distribution of resources and establish an accountable government that respond to their needs.He said key priorities have been identified to achieve the development plan and that his cabinet will further give the details of what has been done and the challenges that might need NGOs intervention.
Mr Zakaria explained that the state’s development plan is in line with South Sudan Development Plan 2013 which focuses on economical, social and human development, good governance, conflict prevention and security.
The governor added that poverty, illiteracy and child mortality are some of the major challenges facing Western Bahr El Ghazal state.
