Administrative issues have delayed the planned launch of Central Equatoria State radio and TV stations last September.

Central Equatoria Information Minister Francis Barson Yausa told CRN News the state TV and radio stations were supposed to be already on air but the technicians went back to the United Arab Emirates for Eid Al Fitr, last August, and the transmission room is not ready.

He said when the transmission room is finished, the technicians will be called back to install the 60-meter tall mast and the antennas.

Mr Barson apologized for the delay but promised that the project will work.

He said the transmission room should be finished by the middle of this month.

The minister said the Central Equatoria Network project costs more than 11 million pounds.
