The Governor of Central Equatoria State is fine but he is still under treatment and resting at home.

Central Equatoria information minister Francis Barson Yausa told CRN News that governor Clement Wani Konga had some health problems due to hard work in the last two years but he was recovering well.

He added that doctors told Mr Konga to rest at home.

He said the governor came to the office this morning to say hello.

A source from the governor’s office confirmed that Mr Konga came to Central Equatoria State Secretariat this morning but he said the governor did not look well.

Mr Barson denied rumours that Mr Konga was seriously ill.

He added that the governor could travel abroad for treatment following medical advice.

Mr Konga was in Nairobi in November for treatment for more than three weeks.

He returned in December but no official statement was made about his health status.
