The liturgical season of Advent the time Christians are preparing and awaiting for the coming of Jesus Christ, the real Saviour of the world and it gives every Christian an opportunity to look back and see whether she or he is the right track.
Sr. Makrina Toni told Radio Don Bosco that Advent is also the time believers allow Jesus to reign in their lives by venturing to the ways of God and work on them.Sr. Toni urged people to remember that the target is to let Jesus find a home in each one when he comes.
Sr. Shanty Antony in her turn said the Church offers Advent and Lent as tools for the believers to prepare themselves for the great events of Christmas and Easter.
She added that sin is the only block to God’s way, saying that John the Baptist was preaching repentance for remission of sins.
Sr. Antony urged the people of God to compare their lives with the message of Isaiah who asked for rough roads to be levelled and winding paths straightened, adding that they should keep their hearts clean to receive the Lord.
