The Catholic diocese of Yei and his bishop are celebrating this weekend their silver jubilee under the theme” Service with the power of the Cross.”
The chairman of the Central Organizing Committee, vicar general Zachariah Angutua, told Radio Easter that preparations were well underway.He said even if there was a low turnout of the people during preparations, some individuals helped with funds locally and from outside the diocese.
Fr. Angutua added that tomorrow will be a day of great joy and excitement because the locals will be receiving many visitors.
The Vicar general urged the people of Yei to show love and assist the visitors wherever and whenever necessary.
Archbishop Paulino Lukudu Loro of Juba, his assistant bishop Santo Loku Pio, Bishop Rudolf Deng Majak of Wau, retired bishop Paride Taban of Torit, retired bishop Vincent Mojwok of Malakal, Monsignor Roko Taban, apostolic administrator of Malakal and Juba Paramount Chief Dennis Daramallo Kundi are among the guests already in Yei for the feast.
