The minister for Telecommunications and Postal Services recognised the importance of Information and Communication Technology in the socio-economic development of South Sudan.
Madut Biar Yel told the press on Saturday that information and communication technologies are the pillars for competitiveness and growth.The minister stressed that the telecommunications gateway is a very beautiful investment opportunity as it important for South Sudan’s security.
He explained that the government ordered the equipment for the telecommunications gateway from Erikson, a company that will install it and train the staff before transferring it to the ministry.
Mr. Biar denied having signed any contract for the gateway management.
He explained that any investor can bid for the contract.
