The Bishop of Yei said the ordination of a deacon and of a priest that took place Sunday served to strengthen the faithful.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe ordained in Yei deacon Pascal Mude Emmanuel of his diocese and Comboni Missionary father Phillip Andruga Kenyi, Radio Eater reported.During his homily, bishop Lodu explained that the two ordinations were a blessing from the Lord to encourage and strengthen the faithful.
He added that the new ministers will serve the people of God.
A huge crowd took part in the ordination mass yesterday in the open grounds behind Christ the King cathedral, in Yei.
The celebration marked also the Parish Day.
