Six head teachers have accused Torit County Education Director of breaking administrative disciplinary procedures by suspending them unlawfully and without proper reasons.

The County Education Director, El-Amin Karar Amanya, suspended six head teachers on several allegations including poor administration allowing teachers to give only two lesions per day, Radio Emmanuel reported.

Torit East Primary School head teacher, Angelo Oduma, Trubilish Rogato of Torit Model Primary School and Wisly Ali of Torit One Primary School were suspended.

Other head teachers under suspension are Anthony Agira of Dr. John Garang Memorial School, Odera Charles of Airport View and Mr. Anthony Irra Kenyi of AIC Primary School.

Mr. Amanya also claimed that he suspended the head teachers due to their failure to reconcile with the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) committee, over school fees collections.

Odera Charles, the head teacher for Airport View Primary School, who talked on behalf of the six head teachers, denied the claims and said their suspension was unlawful.

He accused the education director of not following the right administrative procedures.

Another head teacher, Angelo Oduma, denied claims that the teachers were giving only two lesions a day.

The six head teachers said their suspension was wrong.

They accused the County Education Director of illegally deducting teachers’ salaries.

They added that Mr. Amanya was angered by the removal of his ghost teachers from the payroll.
