A South Sudanese foundation has launched the Panda Film Festival aiming at peace and rehabilitation initiatives in the country.
Nuer Maker Benjamin, founder of the Benjamin Bil Sound Mind, told CRN that the peace initiative will include public debates through radio stations and TV and street movies every two weeks. The programme will also involve South Sudanese in the diaspora who are invited to contribute to the chosen themes.
Mr. Maker said the programme will encourage group participation through radio and TV in an effort to unite the different tribes in the country.
The Panda film festival will run for four months or more if more funds are mobilized.
