The Interior Deputy Minister has called on the people of South Sudan to respect the system that is in place to run the affairs of the Republic.

Salva Mathok Gengdit told Radio Bakhita that citizens should respect the laws and law enforcement agents, including the police in order for the country to progress.

Mr. Mathok advised police officers to respect civilians.

He called upon the authorities to avoid entering with their armed body guards in places like the VIP room at Juba International Airport, scaring other passengers.

Mr. Mathok concluded that respect is reciprocal and demands a two-way channel.
