Mixed fuel sold in Lainya County has affected local business, including the motorbike taxis known as boda-boda, and the businessman selling the fuel is under police custody.
Lainya County press officer Lugalla Bullen told Radio Easter that the Petrocity branch manager, Paul Zackaria, is under police custody for security reasons due to the sale of petrol laced with diesel that is affecting customers.Mr. Zackaria said he bought 44,000 litres of petrol last week from Kenya but the fuel was mixed with diesel.
He added that he does not know who mixed petrol with diesel.
