Upper Nile labour minister warned all ministries and concerned directorates to stop appointing new employees not covered by the state budget.

Aban Makol said he signed an order of administrative review to all ministries to discontinue random appointment of workers with no available financial plan, Radio Voice of Love reported.

He added that he asked the state finance minister not to allow unlawful employees to get paid from the state budget.

Mr. Makol said he discovered 393 employees due for retirement, but the state has no law to regulate retirements.

He added that if old civil servants retire the government can employ new graduates to their positions.
