Rebel forces attacked this morning Mayom, in Unity State, but the SPLA is already in control of the town.
A resident told SCR News over the phone that rebels from South Sudan Liberation Army mounted a huge attack on Mayom early in the morning, causing a number of casualties among civilians and army personnel.He said the SPLA has taken control of Mayom but many people were fleeing the town fearing further attacks.
Earlier on the week the militias threatened to attack NGOs operating in Unity State if they did not leave immediately the area.
