Over 1,300 thousand primary school pupils in Nuba Mountains, Southern Kordofan State, are ready for the Kenyan exams.

Joseph Lagu, the education coordinator in Nuba Mountains, said the authorities set up three centres for the candidates to sit for their examinations.

He added that though some candidates missed their index numbers, he asked the Kenyan authority to bring more papers so that everyone can sit for the final exam.

Mr. Lagu urged all the candidates to do thorough revisions because the exams are at the door.

He did not mention the date for the examinations for security reasons.

Nuba Mountains is at war since June and the Sudanese air force bombs the area regularly.
