Juba City Legislative Council has passed yesterday a budget of over 7.8 million pounds for the year 2011-2012.
Speaker Micheal Lado told the press that the budget approved by Council is divided in three categories: remunerations, operation costs and capital costs, Bakhita Radio reported.
He added that the grand total of over 7.8 million pounds covers the three categories plus a ten-percent contingency fund.
Mr. Lado said the Council is tasked with the formulation of laws and orders for the welfare of Juba’s residents.
Juba City Legislative Council comprises of 35 members from Juba, Munuki and Kator payams.
