A German-based NGO started yesterday a three-day training of local journalists in Juba on positive reporting.
Media in Cooperation Transition runs a website on both South Sudan and Sudan affairs called Sudan Votes. The website publishes life-touching stories compiled by reporters from both countries.Talking to SCR news, the Sudan Votes’ editor Alexa Dvorson, who is also facilitating the training, said the journalists will be encouraged to discover their role in positive reporting.
Ms. Dvorson said the training will enable participants report on people-related stories other than largely reporting on politics.
Topics to be covered include civic journalism, interviewing and story packaging.
The training ends on Thursday.
