The University of Juba in collaboration with its contractor paid a feeding allowance to students sitting for substitute and supplementary examinations.

Over 2,000 students sat for their substitute and supplementary examinations at Juba University last week.

Each student is reported to have received 250 pounds.

Speaking to Bakhita Radio, the Dean of Students in the University Lino Gewaki said the money was distributed to the students by the contractor adding that the University does not have money to distribute to students.

Dr. Lino revealed that students from the first year with Arabic background would resume the English course after the supplementary and substitute exams.

He said the finalists would resume lectures when the English courses for the first years are completed.

Dr. Lino concluded that the priority of the University is to enrol the beginners and the finalists until the lecture halls are available.
